Cranial Sacral Therapy for Children
Book Session NowWhat is Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy for Children?
Biodynamic cranial sacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on therapy that helps to bring your child’s nervous system into a place of calm and balance to support healing. Children today are much more in tune with their emotions and needs which can be empowering. However, this awareness can sometimes make life challenging for them as they feel so deeply they often don’t know what to do with these big emotions.

As a result we are seeing an increase in emotional dis-regulation, anxiety and depression in the younger generation. However, children do not have the years of trauma and suppression that adults hold on to, therefore, their ability to heal is much faster.
If we can help to support the younger generation now, the world will become a much better place for future generations.
What Does a Session for Kids Look Like?
A session is done lying down, fully clothed.
The session follows the pace of your child’s needs. Nothing is forced.
Your child has the choice to remain silent, to have light chit-chat or to talk on a deeper level regarding emotions and experiences impacting them.
Whichever route we go because children heal so fast, the difference in their systems at the end of session from when we started is profound.Â

Working with Children with Additional Needs:
The beauty of BCST is that often our children with additional needs are very sensitive. To lie on the table and receive cranial may feel too overwhelming for them.
In this case, mum/dad/care giver is invited to lie on the table and receive a cranial session.

With BCST we work with the relational field, imagine everyone in the room inside a bubble, this means that all the people in the room are receiving and feeling the benefits of cranial. So in the case where mum/dad/care giver is lying on the table and the child is in the room, both care giver and child are receiving cranial and will feel the benefit.
It is not necessary to put hands on the child to be able to receive the benefits.Â

How to Explain to Your Child What BCST is:
We find some of these messages work well with our younger clients ............
"You know sometimes you have a bad headache, or a sore tummy or you feel stressed out.
Well, Cranial Sacral Therapy is a way to help your body feel better. It's like a special kind of massage for your insides that helps you to release the tension in your head, neck and spine."
"You know sometimes you feel very sad or angry, cranial helps you to release your emotions so you can feel more calm and happier."
"The therapist will use a very gentle touch, like the soft touch of a butterfly's wings, to help your body relax and release any tension that might be causing you discomfort. It's a very calming and soothing therapy that can help you feel more relaxed and comfortable."
And the best part is, you get to lie down and relax while the therapist works their magic!
You can talk if you want to but if you don’t want to talk that’s also ok.
Kids are our future, if we help our kids to heal now and give them the tools to empower them, then our world will become a better place.
Book Session NowIt is important to note that cranial sacral therapy should not be used as a substitute for medical intervention. While it may be beneficial for some individuals to receive cranial sacral therapy, it should not be viewed as a replacement for medical treatment. Cranial sacral therapy is a complementary therapy that can be used in conjunction with medical treatment and other therapies to help alleviate symptoms and improve overall well-being. It is recommended to consult with a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new therapy or treatment, including cranial sacral therapy, to ensure that it is safe and appropriate for the individual's specific needs.
